Phileas® hydrogen peroxide decontamination units are designed for great ease and accuracy of operation. Their patented technology is based around a rotating disc, which uses centrifugal force to deliver tiny droplets of disinfectant into the atmosphere.
The Phileas range has been shown in tests to be highly accurate and reliable. Its method of hpv decontamination has been demonstrated to be effective in removing contaminants, and the systems and disinfectants have been independently verified as complying with international standards.
Efficient
The Micro Drop technology used by Phileas® need less power to ensure high performance than older methods, saving on energy. The units can also operate effectively under ambient room conditions, meaning there is no need for environmental control.
Fast cycle times also ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum, so essential facilities such as healthcare premises and research facilities do not have to be out of operation for any longer than necessary.
Another reason why these units are so efficient is that they are autonomous. They can be pre-programmed and will run with no requirement for the presence of an operator to be physically present in the space which is undergoing disinfection.

For instance, the Phileas® Genius can be used for equipment including biological safety cabinets, incubators, serving hatches, isolators and sterilising ovens. At the other end of the scale, the largest model, the Phileas® 250, which moves on wheels, is ideally suited to multi-room areas, including laboratories where large volumes of materials are handled.
Safe and Environmentally Friendly
The Phileas® range has been designed with green priorities in mind, and is non-corrosive and non-toxic, meaning it is safe to use with medical and electrical items of equipment. The units’ low energy requirements, very low noise level and lack of vibration also help to make them both safe to use and good for the environment.
The two disinfectants, O2safe+® and Phileasafe®, are both free from chemical additives and of pharmaceutical quality. There are no metallic residues after disinfection is completed, just free oxygen molecules and water. Both disinfectants are fully validated according to French norm NF T 72-281 (the 2009 version for O2safe+® and the 2014 version for both).
Cost-Effective and Low Maintenance
Because of their energy efficiency and simple operation, Phileas® units are highly cost-effective, and require the minimum of maintenance. The accurate calibration of the disinfectant droplets means that precisely the right amount of the agent is used. Both disinfectants also have a three-year shelf life, helping to avoid waste.
