The Phileas® 5 – Perfect for Disinfection of Extra-small Volumes
The Phileas® 5 is the smallest product in the Devea Phileas® range, has been specially designed to treat extra-small volumes typically found in pharmaceutical, research laboratories and biotech environments. The biocide delivery compartment can be separated from the main control housing, allowing you to place the dispersal nozzles into an extremely confined space whilst still be able to control the process externally via the separate control housing. This is ideal for use in isolator cabinets or Remote Access Barrier Systems (RABS). The range of treatable volumes that the Phileas® 5 is rated to meet is from 50L up to 1,000L.
Unlike others in the range, the Phileas® 5 utilises piezoelectric nozzle nebulization technology due to its small size to allow for homogenous dispersal of a dry-fog biocide, whilst maintaining maximum efficacy. Crucially, Devea’s biocide effectiveness has been validated by the Marketing Authorisation AMM FR-2019-071, and all devices are compliant with BS EN 17272:2020.
Once positioned, the unit can be pre-programmed and can run autonomously without the need for an operator to be physically present. The unit is operated via mains supply.
The clear touchscreen display allows for easy programming, and the entirely separable control unit allows for remote monitoring and eliminates contact between the user and the biocide in use.
The entire disinfection process is non-corrosive, ensuring that equipment and users are kept safe. Additionally, no residual hazardous substances remain following the disinfection process – only free oxygen molecules and water.
